‘Celtic will buy a striker in January’ after confirmed Brendan Rodgers news

Celtic have been backed to be active in the upcoming transfer window in a bid to bolster their squad after Brendan Rodgers’ assessment of their goalless draw against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday (10 December).

Rodgers told TNT Sports, “The quality in the final third of the pitch wasn’t very good,” as the Hoops failed to break the deadlock.

This comes after previous comments by Rodgers which Paul Robinson told Football Insider was done to test the board in a bid to gain some finances in January.

Football Insider revealed that Celtic are unlikely to spend heavily in the upcoming transfer window due to not having the cash to inject into the squad.

That isn’t what supporters want to hear though, as the Hoops fans believe that adding some additional quality is exactly what the squad needs currently.

The Scottish giants are currently 19th in the Champions League table after the opening six games, having won two, drawn three, and lost once.
