Celtic are confident that Hibernian will find a bid between £4million and £5m hard to resist for Miguel Chaiwasources have told Football Insider.

The 22-year-old midfielder has long been linked with a move to Parkhead this summer and the possibility of a deal remains alive going into the final weeks of the window.

Hibs do not want to sell the Zambia international this summer. However, a move to Celtic would “interest” Chaiwa in the coming weeks.

The Hoops are in the market for a new midfielder before the transfer window ends, with Arne Engels set to move to West Ham United.

Chaiwa has already had an excellent start to the new 2026-27 campaign, and helped Hibs reach the Conference League playoffs on Thursday.

Last season, the midfielder made 28 appearances in the Scottish Premiership with the Edinburgh club as they finished fifth.

Miguel Chaiwa continues to be linked with Celtic

Celtic have not been afraid of bringing in midfield reinforcements this summer.

Mika Baur has recently completed his move to the Hoops, while Martin O’Neill’s side have been linked to many other midfielders in recent weeks.

Chaiwa’s links with a potential move to Parkhead are yet to vanish, and the Hoops may be tempted to make a late move for the 22-year-old.

The Zambia international no doubt ticks a lot of boxes, with him having experience in both the Scottish Premiership and Europe.

However, it remains to be seen if Celtic launch an official bid for the midfielder in the coming weeks.

Who else are Celtic linked with this summer?

Celtic are reportedly looking to bring in Landon Emenalo on loan from Chelsea.

The 18-year-old left-back has already had a tour around the club’s training ground and Celtic Park.

O’Neill is keen to bring in the defender to provide cover for Kieran Tierney for the rest of the campaign.

Emenalo is yet to make his professional debut and has spent the majority of his career in Chelsea’s youth academy.

However, Celtic could face competition for his signature as the transfer window heats up.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the Hoops are able to get a deal over the line as they look to build a squad capable of winning the Scottish Premiership and competing in Europe.
