Celtic are looking to complete a deal to sign Chelsea’s rising star Landon Emenalo in the coming weeks.

The Hoops are hoping to sign the 18-year-old left-back on a season-long loan, according to reports.

The youngster has already been given a tour of the training ground and Celtic Park ahead of the potential move.

So far, Emenalo has spent the majority of his career in Chelsea’s academy and has been a regular in the Premier League 2 squad.

As a result, the defender has received plenty of praise, including from former England captain John Terry.

The Chelsea legend was quick to big up Emenalo back in 2025, believing that the left-back has a big future ahead of him.

John Terry: Landon Emenalo is a very good footballer

Emenalo has no doubt emerged as a major talent at Chelsea.

This has seen the full-back be named in the first-team matchday squad on numerous occasions as he looks to make his Blues debut in the near future.

His performances in the academy have also attracted attention, with Terry previously praising the defender.

Speaking to Whatnot via The Chelsea Chronicle on 30 September, he said: “Landon Emenalo. His dad used to work at Chelsea. Landon is a very good footballer.

“I think he plays for the first team and comes through. He currently plays left-back, he’s not a left-back, he can play left centre-half, he prefers to play in midfield as a six.

“A big future, a really good player.”

Therefore, if the Daily Record’s report is correct, Celtic could have an excellent player on their hands.

Supporters will love the fact that Emenalo can play in multiple positions and provide extra depth for what could be a busy 2026-27 campaign.

Sources: Celtic in talks to complete loan deal after triple signing blitz

What other business could Celtic complete this summer?

Reports have emerged that Celtic plan to advance their interest for Hajduk Split’s Niko Sigur over the coming days.

Talks could soon open for the 22-year-old defensive midfielder, who is one of their main options to reinforce the centre of the park.

Sigur had been linked with a move to Parkhead back in the winter window, and the Hoops have appeared to reignite this interest.

The midfielder played a part in the 2026 World Cup and made three appearances as Canada reached the round of 32.

However, it remains to be if Celtic are able to strike a deal for Sigur over the coming weeks as they look to reinforce their squad before the transfer window slams shut at the start of September.
