Charlie Cresswell completes medical after Leeds accept bid – sources

Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell has reached a full agreement to join Toulouse, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider previously revealed that the 21-year-old had travelled to France to undergo a medical after agreeing on personal terms with the Ligue 1 side.

Even though the medical was completed, the deal appeared to stall which raised question marks over whether the transfer would go through.

Despite that, sources have said that Cresswell’s move to Toulouse is now set to go through after the Championship club accepted a bid of nearly £4million.

Cresswell will mark the second Elland Road outgoing this week after Archie Gray left the club to join Tottenham.

Leeds United will be losing an academy graduate

Cresswell has been with Leeds since 2013 and does have three years remaining on his current four-year deal.

However, the central defender was surplus to requirement last season under Daniel Farke as he only featured five times in the Championship.

Leeds have also just strengthened in his area of the pitch by signing Joe Rodon on a permanent contract from Tottenham.
