Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo reacts to Morgan Rogers’ after Aston Villa win
Chelsea defender Tosin has given his backing to Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers following his side’s Champions League win over Club Brugge.
Unai Emery‘s side made the trip to Belgium on Tuesday (4 March) for the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash.
The Premier League side had been beaten by those opponents during the league side, after a bizarre handball by Tyrone Mings inside his own area saw Aston Villa lose 1-0 to a penalty.
This time around though, the game proved to be a much more enjoyable one for those connected with the Midlands club.

Morgan Rogers offers reflection on Club Brugge win
Early goals from Leon Bailey and Maxim De Cuyper saw the game locked at 1-1 for a significant period.
With 71 minutes on the clock, a stunning goalline clearance from Tyrone Mings kept Aston Villa level on the scoreboard.
It would prove to be a significant turning point in the game, with an own goal and penalty from Marco Asensio in the subsequent 20 minutes earned a 3-1 win for Aston Villa.

Chelsea (H) | Won 2-1 |
Crystal Palace (A) | Lost 4-1 |

That has put the Premier League outfit firmly in control of the tie ahead of the second leg at Villa Park next week.
With Rogers producing another impressive performance, he was named as Player of the Match for that game.
Taking to Instagram after the game, the attacker was keen to both reflect on that success and outline the focus on the second leg, writing:
Among those to respond to that was Tosin, who is a former Man City teammate of the Aston Villa man, with the current Chelsea defender liking that post.
Aston Villa have cause to be confident ahead of Club Brugge second leg
Football Insider Verdict
Away form has not exactly been a positive for Unai Emery’s side in recent weeks, so to pick up a win such as this on the road in such a key game will undoubtedly help to lift the mood.
Aston Villa have certainly been stronger on their own turf recently, and so with a two-goal lead to take into the second leg at home, that will give them a belief they can secure a place in the quarter finals.
As Rogers says though, the job is not fully done yet and so they cannot afford to take anything for granted at this moment.
Indeed, Aston Villa stand to gain a big financial windfall if they continue to progress in the Champions League, which may be important given their PSR situation.
They will therefore look at this result as a welcome boost and something they must take advantage of when they welcome Brugge to Villa Park next week.
