Chelsea confirmed line-up v Manchester United: 29-year-old axed in two changes

By Dominic Toner

Chelsea have made two changes to their starting XI for the FA Cup match at home to Manchester United on Monday night.

The Blues host United for the FA Cup quarter-finals and will be looking to increase their chances of lifting more silverware at the end of the season, with the Londoners 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Antonio Conte has decided to make two alterations to his side from the team that beat West Ham in the league 2-1 in their last game.

Cess Fabregas and Pedro have dropped out of the side, while Nemanja Matic and Willian are handed starting roles.

Fabregas, 29, has been a regular in the starting XI recently, but has been left out for the cup match.

Chelsea have announced their starting line-up on their official Twitter account.

Chelsea and United will be vying for the final place in the semi-finals, where a star-studded line-up awaits.

Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City have already booked their place in the last four and the teams will find out their semi-final opponents after the game on Monday night.

Conte will be hoping his side will be in the pot and they will be highly confident of getting a result.

Chelsea are currently the runaway leaders in the league and have been in sensational form this season, with the 3-4-3 formation bringing out the best of their star players.

The Blues have already beat United once this season, when they stormed to a 4-0 victory at Stamford Bridge in September.

The Londoners will start the game as favourites to progress, but it’s set to be a fascinating game as Chelsea great Mourinho once again returns and he will be looking to get one over his former club.
