Chelsea fans all say the same thing about Wesley Fofana after West Ham win
Chelsea fans have questioned Wesley Fofana’s ability to play as a right-back after his performance against West Ham United.
The Premier League giants defeated their local rivals 3-0 at the London Stadium after a brace from Nicolas Jackson and a goal from Cole Palmer.
Fofana was involved in one of Chelsea’s only negative moments when he appeared to pull Crysencio Summerville to the ground inside the box, but VAR deemed it not worthy of a penalty.
The 23-year-old played at right-back against the Irons due to Reece James and Malo Gusto both being injured.
Fofana had moved to that position during the second half of Chelsea’s win against Bournemouth, but Enzo Maresca preferred him to start there this time around.
The France international ended up being replaced by Axel Disasi in the 57th minute, and his overall performance did provide some questions from the Blues supporters.
Chelsea fans don’t want Wesley Fofana at right-back
Fofana’s performance didn’t cost his team any points or goals at the London Stadium, but fans felt that he was “jittery” with calls for him to either be dropped or move back to central defence moving forward.
