Chelsea fans react on Twitter to Cech display for Arsenal
By Matt Farr
Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech helped Chelsea on their way to a priceless 3-1 victory over his side on Saturday – and Chelsea fans were grateful.
The veteran stopper delivered a wretched display for the Gunners, practically acting as a 12th-man for Antonio Conte’s side.
The 34-year-old’s display on his return to Stamford Bridge was capped-off with a disastrous individual moment late in the second-half, gifting Cesc Fabregas with Chelsea’s third goal.
With time on the ball to pick out a man in red, Cech cleared the ball straight into the path of Fabregas, who gratefully obliged by firing the ball back past an onlooking Cech into an empty net.
While Arsenal fans were left unimpressed by his display, and called for him to be axed, Chelsea fans were much more grateful for his input.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

After picking the ball out of the back of his net on five occasions this week alone, the defeat continues a run of form that has seen Cech fall spectacularly from grace.
Having been an ever-present member of Arsenal’s first-team for the long-term, he now looks to be expendable, with his ability as a top-class goalkeeper declining drastically this season.
Cech has kept just seven clean sheets from 24 appearances this season, and his latest display could convince Arsene Wenger to recall David Ospina to the starting line-up.
Ospina is the current deputy at the Emirates, but is the first-choice in cup competitions.
