Chelsea fans slaughter Robert Sanchez after what he did vs Man City

Chelsea fans have raged at Robert Sanchez after his errors led to Man City scoring a crucial second goal in their Premier League opening-day defeat at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues had been trailing since the 18th minute when Erling Haaland found the back of the net but had been competing well against the defending Premier League Champions.

Chelsea had several chances and even found the back of the net with an offside Nicolas Jackson strike.

As Chelsea pressed for an equaliser, a mistake from Sanchez led to former Blues midfielder Mateo Kovacic scoring an 84th-minute goal to wrap up the game 2-0.

Sanchez had initially put his team under pressure with a pass, and Kovacic then comfortably beat the 26-year-old from outside the box.

It led to complaints from Chelsea fans, who all felt the former Brighton goalkeeper could and should have done better with the shot.

Chelsea fans weren’t happy with Robert Sanchez’s howler

Gary Neville was quick to note on commentary that Sanchez should have done better, and Blues fans echoed that statement.

With the Blues signing several goalkeepers this summer and already having the likes of Djordje Petrovic and Kepa Arrizabalaga on the books, supporters are keen to see a chance moving forward.
