Chelsea fans taken aback by ‘insane’ stat after Cobham reveal

Chelsea fans have been left fuming at the “insane” impact their academy had on this past weekend’s Premier League results.

Chelsea’s academy graduates scored 25% of the goals over the weekend in the English top flight, highlighting the talent that came out of the system.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Olo Aina, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Guehi, and Dominic Solanke all got on the scoresheets for their respective clubs, but they kicked their careers off at Cobham.

Chelsea fans were quick to note the situation, which positively showed the quality of their academy but also provided some frustration due to the fact none of them are playing at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca’s side scored once this weekend at Old Trafford as they drew 1-1 against Man United, but it wasn’t an academy player who got that goal.

Moises Caicedo scored for the Blues, while their academy alumni were busy making an impact elsewhere.

Chelsea fans can’t believe ‘insane’ academy stat

Many fans were quick to claim that the goals this past weekend prove they have the “best academy in the world,” but others pointed out that the club have “not utilized it well enough.”
