Chelsea star Wesley Fofana reacts to Ricardo Pereira message after Leicester loss
Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana has reacted to ex-teammate Ricardo Pereira after beating Leicester 1-0 in the Premier League.
The 31-year-old made only his third Premier League appearance of an injury-hampered season as the Foxes lost 1-0 to the Blues (9 March).
Despite Cole Palmer’s penalty being saved, thanks to a fabulous stop from Mads Hermansen, the Midlands side were unable to get one over on the former Leicester manager Enzo Maresca.
Spanish defender Marc Cucurella scored the goal’s only game, as the Foxes failed to capitalise on Crystal Palace beating Ipswich, with both sides remaining level on 17 points in the relegation zone.
Ricardo Pereira tells Leicester fans ‘I believe it’s possible’
Following the loss to Chelsea, Pereira posted three photo’s of himself in action to his Instagram, captioned: “I really enjoyed being back today and I really missed this feeling.
“I will keep giving my very best to help and be helped.
“To turn this situation around we need EVERYONE in the last 10 games. I BELIEVE it’s possible!
“Thank you foxes for your warm welcome and your support.”
Fofana then liked the post from his former Leicester teammate, after the pair spent two seasons together at the King Power Stadium.

With 10 games remaining, Leicester sit six points behind Wolves, who occupy the last safe space in the Premier League table.
Whilst mathematically feasible, the Foxes are on a run of 12 losses in 13 games, and will have to remedy that form if they are to stand any chance of survival.
Leicester pay the price after sacking Steve Cooper
Football Insider Verdict
With 12 games gone, and Leicester sat 16th in the Premier League table, the Foxes ownership decided a change was necessary, replacing Steve Cooper with Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The Foxes’ players were reportedly unimpressed with the Englishman’s tactics, and were especially critical after a 2-1 loss to Chelsea.
Following the switch, Leicester have gone from a tough away day, to a guaranteed three points for every side that plays them (barring Tottenham, of course).
12 losses in 13 games is appalling, but the manner of the defeats will be especially disheartening to supporters, with the Foxes failing to even score in 10 of those games.
Whilst the score-line was close against Chelsea, Leicester only attempted three shots, with none of them being on-target.
The Foxes are now facing the harsh reality that sacking Cooper was a monumental mistake, and one that is likely to cost the club their status as a Premier League team.
