Chelsea urged by fans to complete defender signing after Jody Morris claim
Chelsea supporters have urged the club to sign a centre-back during the January transfer window after Jody Morris’ latest comments.
The Blues have conceded 21 goals in 18 Premier League fixtures so far this season, but fans want to see the club strengthen at the back.
Morris said on Rio Presents: “I think we [Chelsea] need an experienced, world-class centre-half.
“I don’t think we need a striker, I don’t think that’s where we’re struggling most at the minute, we just need to shore up defensively.”
Enzo Maresca has typically been using Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana as his central defenders this season in the Premier League, although Tosin Adarabioyo has stepped in recently due to Fofana’s injury.
Chelsea have only managed to keep four clean sheers in the Premier League this season, with this being an area that fans want to address.

The Blues faithful have backed Morris’ points, claiming the former Chelsea player and coach is “totally correct.”
