Chelsea urged to complete Liverpool signing after ‘great’ Roy Keane update

Chelsea supporters have urged the club to consider signing Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher after the praise Roy Keane gave him.

Keane told ITV on Sunday (17 November), “I was working with Martin (O’Neill with the Ireland national team) when we brought him in, and we liked him straightaway from the first session that he had.

“We liked everything about him, he makes the other keepers look lazy, he’s got a great temperament.”

According to The Sun, the Blues are considering a £35million bid for the 25-year-old who has had to fight for his place at Anfield against Alisson Becker.

Football Insider previously confirmed that Kelleher wants to leave Liverpool in search of more regular first-team football next summer, which could open the door for a move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea currently have ten goalkeepers contracted to the club, but this is still seen as a position that Enzo Maresca isn’t pleased with and wants to strengthen.

Chelsea fans want to see Caoimhin Kelleher join the club

Many fans have become frustrated with Robert Sanchez this season and have called for him to be axed from the team after it was revealed that no player has committed more errors leading to a goal in the top five leagues than him this season.

Supporters believe Kelleher could be the answer to that solution, claiming he’d be a “great buy” and is “very underrated.”
