Notoriously awful Brazilian centre-back who was another part of the John Barnes-Kenny Dalglish ‘dream team’. The Hoops spent an absurd amount of money on the player, who made his debut in March after suffering a series of injuries.
He was a truly abysmal defender and thankfully made only three appearances before new boss Martin O’Neill took one look at him and got him out of the club.
The worst part of the story is that the Hoops cancelled the player’s contract – who knows how many millions that ended up costing them.
