Chris Sutton makes surprise prediction for Celtic clash v Hibernian

By Danny Wright

Chris Sutton has surprisingly claimed that Hibernian may be able to get a result when they travel to Glasgow to play Celtic on Saturday.

Hibs boss Neil Lennon will be in the away team dug-out at Parkhead for the very first time in his playing and management career this weekend and although the Hoops have not lost a domestic game in Brendan Rodgers’ time at the helm, Sutton had predicted that could change.

Celtic will go into the Premiership clash high on confidence after a stunning couple of away wins against Rangers and Champions League opponents Anderlecht in the past week.

Lennon has also led his side to a win against Rangers at Ibrox this term, and Sutton has accepted that another upset may be on the cards at Parkhead on Saturday.

“It [will] be an emotional return to Parkhead for my old team-mate Neil Lennon who will find himself in the strange situation of being in the away dug-out,” said the ex-Hoops striker in his column on the Daily Record website.

“You wouldn’t put it past him getting a result either. Celtic will make wholesale changes so there’s a chance.

“I like what Neil has done at Hibs and his team should have more points on the board. It would be typical Lenny to go back and get a result.

“He went to Ibrox and got a win earlier this season but we all know that’s a bit different!”

Hibernian sit fifth in the Premiership table ahead of their clash at Parkhead, seven points behind leaders Celtic, who can strengthen their grip at the top of the table if results go their way over the weekend.

Aberdeen are two points behind the Bhoys in second while bitter rivals Rangers closed their gap to five points after a solid 4-1 win over Hamilton on Friday night.

In other Celtic news, Rodgers believes this is who will be the Hoops manager if he wasn’t there.
