Chris Sutton has named Kieran Tierney and James Forrest in his Scottish Premiership team of the week after Celtic’s 2-0 win over Motherwell.

Alongside the Bhoys’ duo, Sutton also chose teenager Kristoffer Ajer who is currently on loan from the 47-time Scottish champions with Kilmarnock.

Posting on his personal Twitter account, the three Celtic stars lined up in a side that also included Inverness’ Owain Fon-Williams, and Dundee duo Darren O’Dea and Michael O’Hara.

Forrest, 25, took his tally to seven goals for the season, as he scored Celtic’s second in the 2-0 win following a Moussa Dembele penalty on Parkhead.

With seven goals and 11 assists to his name, the Scotland winger has had a hand in a goal more than once every two games after making his 35th appearance of the season against Motherwell.

Left-back Tierney was in fine form once again, as he continues to prove that he is one of the best up-and-coming talents emerging in British football.

He helped keep his 11th clean sheet on the left side of Brendan Rodgers’ defence despite playing in just 26 matches this season, as Celtic stretched their winning streak to 14 games.

Versatile teenager Ajer, who was signed in the summer by Rodgers from Norwegian outfit Start FK, starred at centre-back for Kilmarnock despite their 2-1 loss to Aberdeen on Sunday.

Tierney and Forrest are expected to feature once against for the Hoops on Saturday against Hamilton, while Ajer’s Kilmarnock face St. Johnstone in five days’ time.
