Chris Sutton fires shots at Rangers fans for behaviour after draw v Celtic

BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton has once more used social media to have a go at Rangers following their 0-0 draw with Celtic.

The Light Blues’ behaviour indicated that they were celebrating their stalemate at Celtic Park after the game as they gained a point few expected them to get, in a match they really could have won.

On his Twitter account, Sutton did give credit to the Gers for their result, but still decided to fire a few shots at the celebrations.

“While Twitter can’t be a barometer and credit to Rangers for their display”, he said. “Do you think Brighton fans will celebrate the goalless draw at Newcastle like they’ve won the World Cup??”

Sutton’s comments come after a game which Rangers dominated in the second-half and could have emerged with an unlikely victory from.

After Alfredo Morelos had the first real chance of the game, which was saved by Craig Gordon, Celtic dominated the second-half and Wes Foderingham pulled off a fine save to tip a James Forrest effort past the post.

The moment that changed the game came at the end of the first-half, where Scott Sinclair missed an absolute sitter to give Celtic the lead.

That seemed to give the Light Blues heart, and Gordon was forced into a good save from a James Tavernier effort before his miraculous stop prevented Alfredo Morelos scoring from very close range.

Morelos then missed another good chance, heading wide of the goal when unmarked in the penalty box.

Despite missing those great chances, Graeme Murty and his team can take heart from the fighting spirit shown in the match.
