Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech may lead Chelsea exodus after confirmed news – pundit

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Thomas Tuchel may try and replace Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech at Chelsea this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed the pair and inconsistent and will not help Chelsea bridge the gap at the top of the Premier League.

The Blues confirmed on Monday (30 May) that Todd Boehly’s consortium had completed a takeover of the club from Roman Abramovich.

The Telegraph reported last month (25 May) that the new regime will hand Tuchel a war chest of £200million to strengthen the squad after their disappointing 2021-22 season.

“He needs to look at Pulisic and Ziyech and these forward players,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“Are these the forward players who are going to bring in the numbers you need to win the Premier League?

“Third place, 19 points behind the leaders is not good enough for Chelsea Football Club. I don’t care about the Champions Leauge, I don’t care about anything else, the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

“Chelsea are used to winning the Premier League, they need to bridge that gap.

“Going forward they need better players in. Ziyech, for me, is a 7/10 one game and then a 2/10. Pulisic is the same, not clinical in front of goal.

“[Romelu] Lukaku is not the answer, [Timo] Werner is not the answer.”
