Christopher Nkunku responds to Nicolas Jackson’s cryptic message amid ‘Chelsea exit’ claim
Nicolas Jackson posted an ambiguous message on social media as uncertainty grows over his Chelsea future.
The striker endured a mixed season at Stamford Bridge, having initially been Enzo Maresca’s preferred choice to lead the line.
However, his form dipped significantly in the second half of the campaign, scoring just one Premier League goal in 2025.
His performances have caused frustration among fans, with some Chelsea supporters calling to cash in on Jackson. Reports in Spain have linked several La Liga clubs with interest, fuelling speculation that Jackson could be sold during the summer window.
Despite the Blues ending the season on a high by winning the Conference League and earning Champions League qualification, they have been active in the window in the attacking positions.
Chelsea have already wrapped up the signing of Liam Delap, further increasing competition in attack and casting more doubt over Jackson’s future at Stamford Bridge.
Amid ongoing speculation and rising pressure, the Senegal international shared a cryptic message with fans on social media.

Nicolas Jackson breaks silence as Chelsea exit rumours grow
The 23-year-old is currently away on international duty and featured for Senegal as they claimed a historic 3-1 win over England—becoming the first African side to beat the Three Lions in a friendly.
With his Chelsea future in question and fresh competition being added to the squad, Jackson posted a message on Instagram reading: “Time will tell, believe me.”
His words sparked plenty of reaction from fellow teammates, with Trevoh Chalobah—also linked with a summer move away from Chelsea—replying: “My brother” alongside a heart emoji. Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, and Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana also liked the post.
Despite hitting double digits in the Premier League with 10 goals, the Senegal striker has faced criticism for inconsistency and missed chances, particularly in the latter half of the season.
The Blues remain active in the market and Chelsea are in ongoing talks with Frankfurt over a move for Hugo Ekitike. Should they secure another forward in addition to Delap, Jackson’s starting role could be at serious risk.

Christopher Nkunku could follow Nicolas Jackson in Chelsea exit
Another forward that is likely to leave Stamford Bridge is Nkunku, who fell out of Maresca’s plans last season.
Football Insider revealed that Nkunku could push for an exit from Chelsea as a result of limited first-team opportunities, after making just nine league starts.
Both Newcastle United and Manchester United have previously expressed interest, though it remains to be seen whether Nkunku will stay in the Premier League or look for a fresh start elsewhere.
