Christos Mouzakitis’s expected response to Man United move revealed

Man United may lose out on Christos Mouzakitis with the midfielder preferring a move to Real Madrid.

The Red Devils are on the lookout for a marquee midfield signing, having already been linked to a whole host of enticing and talented options.

Sources told Football Insider that Man United are interested in signing Mouzakitis from Olympiacos, who is also receiving attention from los Blancos.

Xabi Alonso is a big fan of Mouzakitis, which may make a deal rather difficult for Ruben Amorim in the upcoming transfer windows.

Allure of Real Madrid expected to tempt Mouzakitis away from Man United’s clutches

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the number 96 is receiving heavy interest from two of the biggest clubs in world football.

However, the prestige of playing for Real Madrid may just be enough to persuade the Greece international to snub a move to Old Trafford.

Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over Alonso’s hunger to land the 18-year-old’s signature, I explained: “Real Madrid are supposedly front-runners for Mouzakitis.

“They see him as a potential superstar in the making and they would like to bring him to Spain.

“The player is thought to be interested in a move to the Bernabeu as well which might just give Real Madrid the edge over any of the rivals for the attacking-midfielder as well.”

Man United considering huge double swoop for Antoine Semenyo and Elliot Anderson

If los Blancos do beat the Red Devils to Mouzakitis, a major response will be needed from the club in the transfer market to show they mean business.

Former Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Man United are eyeing up an eye-watering double move for Antoine Semenyo and Elliot Anderson.

The pair’s acquisition could amount to more than £170million in what would be a significant statement of intent from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co.

Both the Ghanaian and the Englishman have received intense transfer attention from the likes of Man City and Liverpool, reflecting their hefty price tags.
