Cole Palmer to quit Chelsea? ‘Unbelievable’ verdict issued
Chelsea are in the midst of a major slump in form that is threatening to cost them Champions League football, but finishing outside the top four might have an even more drastic impact.
The Blues are currently sixth in the Premier League table, and while they are only one point away from the top four their recent form is alarming.
Enzo Maresca’s side have only won three games in their previous 11 matches in all competitions which has raised question marks about the future of their most important players.
There are concerns among fans that the club might end up having to sell Cole Palmer if they fail to secure Champions League football as he looks to further his individual career.
However, Chelsea fans fumed at Palmer for his recent performance against Brighton, claiming that his efforts were “horrible.”

Chelsea could lose out on Cole Palmer
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Football Insider journalist Connor Humm revealed that Palmer is not expected to leave if the Blues fail to qualify for the Champions League and doesn’t have a clause in his contract that dictates that.
“It’s nonsense that, mate, unbelievable, I don’t know where that rumour come from,” Humm told Football Insider.
“I’m pretty sure none of them Chelsea players have any kind of clause of that nature in their deal.
“It just doesn’t make any sense for Chelsea to put that at risk.
“I mean, Chelsea’s transfer strategy was really like, people said it like a scattergun, he was probably one of the few ones actually paid off.
“I don’t know what they paid him out of, like 35, 40 million, whatever it was they paid for him from City.
“If he doesn’t turn up, they don’t turn up and that’s a big issue for them.
“If they got rid of him or allowed him to go for any price, I don’t know what the price they’d ask with, if someone did come in for him, but I know it’d be unbelievable money, nothing worth thinking about.
“So no, that’s definitely not a thing, he won’t leave if they miss out on Champions League.”

Cole Palmer has continued to be an attacking threat
The 22-year-old burst onto the scene last season after his move to Chelsea where he scored 27 goals and provided 15 assists.
There had been concerns that he might end up being a one-season wonder, but the attacking midfielder has proven that isn’t the case by continuing to be one of Chelsea’s main threats in front of goal.
