‘Miles different’ – Collins delivers verdict on Moyes and Bilic at West Ham

James Collins has claimed that West Ham are “miles different” since David Moyes has taken over Slaven Bilic.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror, the defender revealed that performances have only gotten better under Moyes in his opinion.

“We are miles different from where we were,” said Collins.

“Performances have got better and there have been a few clean sheets, that has bred confidence.”

Collins has made seven appearances across all competitions for the Hammers this season, with four of those coming in the Premier League.

The defender missed 11 games this season due to an knee injury and made his return to first-team action in the Hammers’ last game.

Collins played the full 90 minutes against Stoke City as West Ham emerged 3-0 winners.

Moyes have been in charge of the Hammers for seven league games, picking up eight points out of a possible 21.

This includes the manager overseeing his side achieve a shock 1-0 win over Chelsea in December.

This form has left West Ham 14th with 17 points ahead of playing Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Magpies are aiming to get their first win in 10 league games when the sides meet at the London Stadium.

Newcastle United are boosted by the knowledge that they have won the last two meetings between the sides.

However, if the Hammers win they can move up to 12th in the table if other results go their way.

In other West Ham United news, these are the three midfielders David Moyes should consider signing in January.
