Confirmed Leeds line-up v Blackburn: 25-year-old axed in 10 changes
By Harvey Byrne
Leeds have made 10 changes to their side, which will face Blackburn in the Championship on Wednesday evening at Ewood Park.
Manager Garry Monk has decided to axe 25-year-old Souleymane Doukara from his eleven following his side’s shock 1-0 defeat against Vanarama National League side Sutton in the FA Cup on Sunday.
This has seen Hadi Sacko come back into the line-up alongside Rob Green, Luke Ayling, Pontus Jansson, Kyle Bartley, Gaetano Berardi, Eunan O’Kane, Liam Bridcutt, Kemar Roofe and Chris Wood.
Leeds announced the team on their official Twitter account ahead of the second tier encounter.
Leeds will be keen to make a return to winning ways in the league as they occupy fourth place in the Championship table.
They won their last league meeting against Nottingham Forest at Elland Road with goals from Wood and Souleymane Doukara giving them all three points in a 2-0 win.
However, they will know that they must beat relegation fighting Blackburn on Wednesday if they still hold aspirations of reaching the automatic promotion spots.
There is currently just seven points separating Newcastle in second from Leeds and the Yorkshire giants have an important top of the table clash coming up against Huddersfield on Sunday.
In other Leeds team news, Owen Coyle has claimed he knew the Whites would do well after they signed these three players.
