Confirmed Sheffield Wednesday line-up v Birmingham: 31-year-old axed in three changes
By Harvey Byrne
Sheffield Wednesday have made three changes to their side to face Birmingham at Hillsborough on Friday evening.
Manager Carlos Carvalhal has decided to bring Morgan Fox, Sam Winnall and Sam Hutchinson into his eleven following the 1-0 win against Wigan a week a go.
This has seen 31-year-old Daniel Pudil axed from the team, while Adam Reach and David Jones have joined him in dropping out of the line-up.
Sheffield Wednesday announced the team on their official Twitter account ahead of the Championship encounter.
Wednesday’s win against the Latics brought an end to a poor run of form which had seen them win just one of six fixtures in all competitions.
They will now be keen to push on from the previous victory with their play-off position under serious threat.
Carvalhal’s side are currently occupying sixth place in the Championship with Norwich trailing in seventh, two points behind.
They will see a home clash against Gianfranco Zola’s side as a fixture they could pick up three points from with the Midlands club in a bad run themselves with just one win from 11 matches in all competitions.
When the clubs met earlier in the season in September Birmingham ran out 2-1 victors and those associated with Wednesday will be keen to ensure the same doesn’t happen again.
