Connor Goldson: Rangers expert claims contract saga ‘will get cleared up’ after CEO’s reveal
Alan Hutton has suggested Rangers will have to wait until the end of the season to resolve Connor Goldson’s contract situation.
The former Gers defender and Rangers TV pundit, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 29-year-old would have been sold in the January transfer window if he was planning to leave Ibrox.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Monday (14 February), managing director Stewart Robertson revealed the club “are not resigned” to losing Connor Goldson when his contract expires this summer.

The Scottish Sun claimed last month (23 January) West Brom and Nottingham Forest are keen on striking a pre-contract deal with the defender.
However, Hutton suggested Goldson may want to wait until the season is over before deciding where his future lies.
“I think it will go until the end of the season and then it’ll get cleared up,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“There’s a lot of things that Rangers are going for at the moment. Whether it be Scottish Cup, the league or the Europa League. Nobody wants any distractions.
“If you look at when Allan McGregor was talking about signing his new contract. He wanted it to be signed once everything was all over. Then he could just handle that side of the business.
“I think this will be the same. If there was any thought of him leaving, I think it would have happened in January.
“The draw of winning in two in a row and going into the Champions League is better, in my opinion, than going to play with West Brom or Nottingham Forest.
“So I think it will be resolved come the end of the season.”

Goldson joined Rangers from Brighton in 2018.
He made his 200th appearance for the club in last week’s win over Hibernian.
