Conor Coady sends farewell message after confirmed Leicester exit news

Leicester defender Conor Coady has sent a farewell message on social media after a January transfer move was confirmed.

Hamza Choudhury has joined Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season as the Blades chase promotion to the Premier League.

The Bangladeshi midfielder has made 131 appearances for the Foxes since coming through the academy at the Midlands side.

Choudhury played in four Premier League games this season for Leicester, and will join his Leicester teammate, Harry Souttar, on loan at the Blades.

The former England U21 international spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Watford and made 36 appearances in the Championship for the Hornets.

Leicester star Coady sends message to teammate after important Tottenham win

Former Wolves defender, Coady, came off the bench in the dying moments of their match against Spurs to secure a surprising 2-1 win (26 January).

The victory ended a run of seven league defeats in a row for the Foxes, and alleviated some of the pressure on manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Dutchman was reportedly involved in a clash with his players after their 2-0 loss to Fulham (18 January), and singled out Facundo Buonanotte in front of his teammates in a surprise move.

Coady and Choudhury were teammates together when Leicester secured promotion to the Premier League last season, and Coady sent a message to his teammate on Instagram, saying: “All the best my brother.”

The Foxes will hope to use their victory over Spurs as a boost when they take on Everton in a relegation six-pointer on 1 February.
