Conor Coady sends message to Wolves fans after his old team demolish Leicester
Wolves were sent a message by Conor Coady in the wake of their 3-0 demolition of his Leicester City side at Molineux.
Leicester‘s immediate demotion back to the Championship has been in the post for some time, and was finally confirmed last weekend when new Premier League champions Liverpool beat them 1-0 at home.
With 17 defeats from their last 19 league games, the Foxes’ fate finally being sealed could have alleviated the pressure on the shoulders of Ruud van Nistelrooy‘s players, but it made no difference at Molineux.
Wolves have been the fourth member of the relegation ‘battle’ for much of this season, but after they pulled clear several weeks ago, Vitor Pereira’s side easily put Leicester to the sword with a 3-0 victory.

Wolves fans thanked as Leicester’s ignored by Conor Coady
Coady and his Foxes team-mates were all at sea – as they have been so often this season – on Saturday, as Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen struck either side of half-time to put Wolves in command.
Jose Sa’s penalty save denied Jamie Vardy the chance to cap off his Leicester career with a goal after his exit from the King Power Stadium was confirmed, and Rodrigo Gomes added Wolves’ third late on.

After the match, Coady posted on his Instagram story (28 April) with a message for fans – but not Leicester’s, as he told Wolves supporters that their applause for him in Saturday’s match was: “A moment I will cherish… thank you”.
Coady’s previous message to Leicester fans after relegation was confirmed wasn’t as direct an address, and it’s clear that the former England defender’s career hasn’t been the same since he left Molineux.

Leicester relegation to spark summer rebuild
An immediate return to the second-tier – and a potential points deduction to welcome them – means another summer of significant churn at the King Power Stadium, with several players’ cards marked.
Former Man United scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Van Nistelrooy’s sacking by Leicester could come at any time, with the Foxes set to begin a fourth straight season with a different manager.
Man City’s former financial advisor Stefan Borson also exclusively told Football Insider that Leicester’s previous avoidance of PSR breaches won’t be repeated this time around, and as the Championship beckons, so too does uncertainty over every aspect of the Foxes’ future.
