Conte has made mind up on binning ‘disgraceful’ Tottenham stars after squad confession – pundit
Noel Whelan has suggested Antonio Conte has made his mind up on who to “get rid” of at Tottenham after last week’s shock defeat to NS Mura.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the “embarrassing” and “disgraceful” display proved some players are not up to the required standard for Spurs.
As quoted by the Daily Mail (25th November), Conte admitted he now understands the size of the job at hand in north London and insisted he is “not a magician”.

He confessed it will take a “lot of work” to improve the quality of the squad.
Whelan suggested the manager’s comments could be the death knell for some players’ futures at Tottenham.
Whelan told Football Insider’ Russell Edge: “It was embarrassing. I think it’s a disgraceful defeat, a disgraceful performance.
“I think he is seeing what he needs to get rid of rather than who to keep.
“That was the biggest thing that you saw on Thursday. Players that are just not up to standard for playing for Tottenham Hotspur.
“All it’s proven is that they’re not up to standard. He’s got to go into the transfer market in January and quick. I think that’s all it has proved.
“They’ve had their chances and unfortunately, they’ve not taken it, they’ve let them down.
“They’ve let themselves down, let the club down. Also, they have massively let the fans down who travelled and were sitting at home. To me, I wouldn’t be able to walk down the street if I was some of those players.”

Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to Mura leaves them sitting second in their Europa Conference League group with one game to play.
They face table-toppers Rennes knowing they will qualify for the play-off round should they match or better Vitesse Arnhem’s result against Mura.
