‘Crazy’ – Celtic fans excited by Ange Postecoglou return update

Celtic are in the process of searching for a new manager after Brendan Rodgers’ shock resignation with Ange Postecoglou a leading candidate to replace him.

Scottish football was left aghast by the surprise exit of Rodgers from Celtic after a poor start to the season.

Rodgers had been far from impressed with Celtic’s transfer strategy last summer, with a feeling of not being backed following a successful 2024-25 league victory.

The Northern Irishman’s departure has now opened up a chasm for the Hoops as they work on appointing the next boss to lead the club back to glory.

Postecoglou to be welcomed back by Celtic fans after Nottingham Forest embarassment

Sources told Football Insider on 28 October that Celtic have made contact with Postecoglou over bringing him back to the club.

The Australian won five trophies in just two seasons in Glasgow, completing an emphatic treble in the 2022-23 campaign.

The possibility of the 60-year-old coming back to Celtic Park has delighted fans, with one saying: “right now…the experience of Ange, and another rebuild needed, the big man is needed.” with another adding: “Let Ange come…[he is] the most suitable for Celtic.”

As a result of his success in Scotland, Postecoglou was also nominated in 2023 for FIFA World Coach of the Year, with his return an exciting proposition.

Another supporter stated: “Big Ange got to go back to Celtic surely?!” with another Hoops fans adding: “Ange back at Celtic could go crazy.”
