Cristian Romero responds to Pedro Porro’s heartfelt message after Tottenham bus parade
Pedro Porro shared a passionate message to the Tottenham fans after the players celebrated with an open-top bus parade in North London.
Tottenham ended their 17-year wait for silverware with a hard-fought Europa League final win over Manchester United earlier in the week.
Brennan Johnson’s deft touch after scrappy deflection of Luke Shaw was enough to seal the momentous victory and spark wild celebrations among the players and fans alike.
Meanwhile, Porro put in a composed display for Tottenham on the night, despite a nervy moment late on. Porro was involved in a penalty scare following a challenge on Shaw, but he held his nerve and helped see out the win.
The squad has been basking in the glory of their first major trophy in nearly two decades, and Porro kept the celebrations going with a heartfelt message on social media.

Pedro Porro celebrates with Cristian Romero amid Tottenham exit speculation
Pdro Porro shared a series of celebratory photos from Tottenham’s trophy parade on Instagram, which saw thousands of fans line the streets of North London.
Among the pictures was a moment alongside fellow defender Cristian Romero, with Porro captioning the post: “North London we love you.”
Romero replied simply: “Si” while teammates including Dominic Solanke, Richarlison and Son Heung-Min showed their support by liking the post.
Despite Porro facing criticism from sections of the Spurs fanbase over his inconsistency this season, he has stepped up during the club’s Europa League campaign, particularly his performance in the semi-finals against Bodo/Glimt.
His future remains uncertain, however, with Football Insider revealing that Manchester City have previously shown interest in Porro as they consider long-term successors to Kyle Walker.
But with Tottenham placing a hefty price tag on the Portuguese defender, City are exploring other options.
Still, Porro has maintained the trust of Ange Postecoglou throughout the season, featuring in 50 matches across all competitions and contributing 13 goals and assists over more than 4000 minutes of football.
Cristian Romero could leave Tottenham despite Europa League triumph

Romero’s future at the club is also in doubt, despite the recent European success.
Football Insider revealed that Real Madrid are continuing to monitor the Argentine centre-back and that Romero is still expected to leave Tottenham this summer despite their Europa League win.
While injuries have disrupted his rhythm this season, Romero’s quality has not gone unnoticed. The Europa League triumph may prove a fitting end to his time in North London if a deal is reached.
Should he depart, Spurs are expected to move for a defensive replacement, and now, with Champions League qualification secured, they could find it easier to attract top-tier targets.
