Cristiano Ronaldo sends message to fans after Scotland bust-up

Cristiano Ronaldo has posted for the first time since losing his head in Portugal’s shock 0-0 draw with Scotland on Tuesday (October 15).

The 39-year-old was furious after the game when referee Lawrence Visser blew the full-time whistle instead of letting Portugal take a corner kick.

Ronaldo then exploded in anger before storming down the tunnel at Hampden Park, flailing his arms sharply at the officials, fans, and even his teammates.

The legendary striker had scored in all three of Portugal’s previous UEFA Nations League wins but was unable to break down a dogged Scottish defence.

Portugal had plenty of chances to wrap the game up, Bruno Fernandes’ close-range effort was brilliantly denied by Craig Gordon in the 86th minute.

Portugal remain top of Group One with ten points from their four games so far while Scotland’s single point puts them in dead last.

After some time, Ronaldo was able to gather his thoughts and take to Instagram, sending a message of unity to his adoring fans.

Clearly frustrated by the result, his two-word message translates to “We continue together” as he aims to win his second piece of silverware with Portugal.

Ronaldo will return to Saudi Arabia to lick his wounds with Al Nassr sitting in third in the Saudi Pro League with 14 points from their opening six games.

In other news, Cristiano Ronaldo caught out on social media as unexpected footage emerges.
