Crystal Palace fans mock ’embarrassment’ Robin Olsen as unseen footage emerges

Crystal Palace put together a dominant performance against Aston Villa on Tuesday (25 February) as they defeated Unai Emery’s side 4-1.

The Eagles originally went one goal up through Ismaila Sarr only for Morgan Rogers to draw Villa level early in the second half.

However, Crystal Palace then went on to control the fixture as Sarr scored his second while Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eddie Nketiah got on the scoresheet.

The result was a surprising one given the fact that Villa are pushing for Champions League football and headed into the game off the back of defeating Chelsea.

The victory moved the Eagles into 12th place as Oliver Glasner’s men keep pushing to finish in the top half of the table.

Palace will be back in action on Saturday (1 March) against Millwall in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Rob Olsen frustrated supporters with his halftime behaviour

Rob Olsen came on at halftime after an injury to Emiliano Martinez, but it proved to be a disastrous 45 minutes as the 35-year-old conceded three goals.

Footage then emerged of the Villa back up goalkeeper during the halftime break where he refused to move out of the goal to allow children to take part in a penalty shootout.

The young children were set to take some penalties against the club mascots, but Olsen’s refusal to move meant that wasn’t possible.
