Crystal Palace transfer news: ‘Big moves’ for Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise off after latest – pundit

Crystal Palace stars Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze won’t earn big moves this summer as they’ve “not set the world on fire”.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham and Celtic striker Frank McAvennie praised the duo as “real talents”, but predicted they will remain at Selhurst Park next season.

Despite frequent injuries, the pair have been standouts for the South London outfit and have both attracted major interest from top Premier League sides.

Liverpool are among the clubs who have been keeping close tabs on Olise ahead of the summer, but injury has massively disrupted his campaign.

Olise has bagged six goals and three assists in the Premier League despite only making eight starts, while Eze has notched five goals and three assists across all competitions for the relegation-threatened Eagles.

Regardless, McAvennie feels new boss Oliver Glasner could be a major influence on their staying, but he does not anticipate “big moves” in the immediate future.

“Them leaving depends on if they like the new manager,” he told Football Insider.

“Eze and Olise have real talent and they could be better players than Wilfried Zaha.

“But I don’t think anyone is going to come in and take them on huge moves now.

“For me, they’ve not done enough to move to a big team.

“If they like Glasner and want to work with him, they could stay.

“It’s a big club in London with great fans – what’s not to like?

“If Glasner brings something new and energetic then they’ll likely be staying.

“He’s got 12 games to impress the players, but I just don’t think anyone will be kicking the door down to sign them because they’ve not really set the world on fire.”
