Crystal Palace’s priority January signing revealed – sources
Crystal Palace will swoop for a new attacker in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (18 November) that Palace will have minimal funds for January transfer spending amid uncertainty over John Textor’s 45% stake in the club.
However, the Eagles currently sit in the relegation zone and have struggled to score goals in the Premier League this term.
Oliver Glasner’s side have hit just eight league goals – with only Southampton (seven) managing less in the 2024-25 campaign.
Jean-Philippe Mateta has struggled to recapture last season’s stunning scoring form, while Eddie Nketiah is yet to score since making the move from Arsenal in the summer window.
Eberechi Eze has scored just once in the league this term, while Michael Olise’s absence is also being felt after joining Bayern Munich in the off-season.
Crystal Palace plotting attacker swoop in January
Sources say Palace will remedy their attacking struggles by moving for a new attacker in the new year.
It is believed some money is still available from the big-money sales of Olise and Joachim Andersen during the most recent summer window.

In addition to Nketiah, Ismaila Sarr and Daichi Kamada were drafted in during the summer but have also failed to find form at Selhurst Park.
Glasner’s side are next in action against Aston Villa on Saturday (23 November) before facing Newcastle next week (30 November).
