'The damage is done sunshine' - Lord Sugar destroys Rose after apology to Tottenham

By Danny Wright

Former Tottenham chairman Lord Alan Sugar has continued to destroy Danny Rose despite him making a public apology after an interview with The Sun earlier this week.

The 27-year-old revealed that he felt as though he wasn’t getting paid enough by Spurs and suggested that he may have to leave the club in the future in the hope of winning silverware.

After already being torn apart by Lord Sugar once, Rose has issued an apology to the club, which was publicised on Base Soccer Agency’s official Twitter account on Friday.

The England international admitted that his actions were “ill-judged” and made it clear that he was sorry to Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino.

However Lord Sugar, 70, is still not pleased with Rose and has taken to his personal Twitter account yet again to chastise the left-back with some very strong words.

“Pathetic apology from Danny Rose. The damage is done sunshine. You are an idiot,” said the business magnate on Friday.

Rose also made it clear that he is frustrated by the lack of progress made in the transfer market this summer, despite a number of players leaving the club.

Kyle Walker moved to Manchester City in a deal worth more than £50million while fringe players like Federico Fazio and Clinton N’Jie have also left, further boosting the transfer budget.

However Tottenham are the only team in the Premier League to have not signed a player ahead of the season kicking off on Sunday when Pochettino’s men travel to Newcastle without the injured Rose.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs are bracing themselves from interest from one of Europe’s top clubs in this first-team ace who could be worth over £100million.
