Dan James: Leeds update ahead of Burnley clash – report

Leeds United are reportedly set to be boosted by the return of Dan James when they face Burnley on Saturday (14 September).

The winger missed out on representing Wales during the current international break due to picking up a minor knock.

According to Leeds Live, Daniel Farke is optimistic that the 26-year-old will be available for the upcoming Championship fixture.

James was unavailable for Leeds’ 2-0 victory against Hull City, but apart from that he has started all of their league fixtures so far.

The Wales international opened his account against Sheffield Wednesday, scoring in their 2-0 win.

His return will be a welcomed boost for the Whites considering they face stern opposition in Burnley, who are just one point behind the West Yorkshire giants.

Leeds United should be able to rely upon Dan James

James’ speed and crossing ability will be something that Farke wants to rely upon, even if it’s from the bench.

The right-winger has made more appearances for Leeds than any of his previous clubs, having played 89 times for the Championship side.

Throughout his time at Elland Road, he’s scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists, being a regular attacking threat for the club.

Leeds United

James isn’t the only player who is expected to be back in the match-day squad this weekend when club football returns.

Patrick Bamford is also set to be an option after a difficult start to the season due to injury problems.
