Daniel Farke could ‘quit’ as Leeds manager due to 49ers Enterprises
Daniel Farke could quit his position as Leeds United manager before the start of next season if he is not given the proper backing.
The boss has been outspoken in his demands for the board to show ambition in the transfer market as he aims to build on a strong 14th-placed finish.
He is not content simply surviving in the Premier League, and if he feels the board are happy to rest on their laurels, he has no intention of remaining at Elland Road.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Farke is in a strong position to make demands, and the board must now back him.
However, there are concerns that finances at Elland Road could be tight and they may be unable to support the boss, leading to suggestions Leeds could look for a new manager.

Brown told Football Insider last month that Farke has “had enough” at Leeds, with his new demands backing the board into a corner as they must back him.
However, there is a growing feeling that they may be unable to match the manager’s ambitions, and could end up losing him before the season begins.

Should Leeds fail to back Farke in the market, he is prepared to walk away from his position, which would leave the club in a very difficult situation.
“The manager’s position is far from certain at Leeds,” Brown told Football Insider.
“Farke came out at the end of the season demanding that the board back him and up their ambitions rather than just being happy to be in the Premier League.
“He got them out of trouble and did a brilliant job this year, but he’s not content with that, he wants to step up and keep improving.
“If he isn’t given that backing and support that he’s asking for and we come up to the start of the season without Leeds having spent big, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him walk.
“For pretty much the first time since he joined Leeds, he’s in a strong position to call the shots because of the success they’ve had this season.
“It’s up to the club at the end of the day, if they back him they can improve and he wants that to happen, but he’s not going to be happy if they don’t match his ambitions.
“That’s the most important thing for Leeds now, they have to show some ambition, otherwise they could be left in a very difficult situation and without a manager.”
What have the Leeds board said about their transfer plans?
Farke hopes he will be backed with key additions in important positions as he attempts to turn his side from relegation battlers into a competitive team.
Football Insider reported on 25 May that Paraag Marathe has eased expectations at Leeds, as he revealed they may be limited in the market this summer.

The chairman explained that it will take “three long-fought seasons” before the club can operate like their established Premier League counterparts.
The 49ers Enterprises chief also revealed that their transfer strategy will be heavily impacted by the change from PSR to the new Squad Cost Ratio.
Instead of being able to spend big on new recruits, Marathe expects another window focused on finding good deals with strategic recruitment plans.
