Daniel Farke provides Gabriel Gudmundsson update after Leeds star was worryingly withdrawn vs West Ham
Leeds United supporters will be concerned about a potential injury layoff for defender Gabriel Gudmundsson after he was forced off against West Ham.
Gudmundsson joined Leeds from Udinese in the summer and has started every Premier League match for the club so far.
The 26-year-old had to be substituted after 44 minutes of the contest and replaced by James Justin, for just his fourth Leeds appearance.
Following Leeds’ 2-0 defeat at Burnley, Daniel Farke’s side got back to winning ways with an important victory over a West Ham team stuck in the relegation zone.

Noah Okafor also picked up an injury in Leeds’ win against West Ham, but Gudmundsson may be a greater concern.
Speaking after the match though Farke doesn’t fear Gudmundsson will be out for long, but that Okafor may be set for a greater period of time on the sidelines, as per Beren Cross on X [24 October].
Farke facing selection issues
Farke may need to field a completely different left flank if both Gudmundsson and Okafor are missing for the trip to Brighton.

Left winger Willy Gnonto may also be unavailable after missing the last five matches, whilst Dan James has had his issues this season on the injury front.
It is also a concern for Leeds’ struggles in-front of goal, and creating chances, putting heavy emphasis on the right flank to perform.
