Daniel Levy cited as expert suggests Tottenham will accept ‘crazy Harry Kane offer’
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Man United will be reluctant to pay in excess of £80million for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested Spurs could hang on to their all-time top scorer, who turns 30 in July, if they don’t receive a “crazy offer”.
Sources told this site on Wednesday (26 April) that Tottenham value Kane at around £100million and will try and get a nine-figure fee for their talisman.
However, it is believed that Man United are hopeful they can sign the England captain for £85million plus add-ons this summer.
Kane, who is Erik ten Hag’s number-one target as he seeks an A-list striker, will have just 12 months left on his contract in June.
Spurs’ all-time leading scorer has notched 27 goals and five assists across 45 appearances in all competitions this season.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think it’s going to be a really tough deal.
“Daniel Levy could be very stubborn. He’ll be thinking: ‘who can we get in to replace Kane?’
“They’ve got Richarlison who can’t hit a barn door.
“Even though he’s got a year left, it’ll have to be a crazy offer for Spurs to let him go.
“And I don’t think Man United will go out and pay £80m+ for a 30-year-old in the last year of his contract.

“I don’t see any team doing that.
“I think he could well stay for another year and leave on a free transfer.”
