‘Daniel Levy must leave Tottenham’ after Sky breakdown – fans react
Tottenham Hotspur supporters have called for Daniel Levy to leave the club following their 4-3 defeat against Chelsea on Sunday (8 December).
Ange Postecoglou’s side had led the game by two goals to nil after the opening 11 minutes but went on to suffer a defeat after a Cole Palmer brace and goals from Jadon Sancho and Enzo Fernandez.
After the game Jamie Carragher gave a damning breakdown of where the club is at and the business they’ve done on Sky Sports, making it clear he thinks it’s time for someone else to take charge.
He said, “It’s probably time for somebody else to come in because to not win a trophy in that period of time with the managers they’ve had, they’ve never really gone out of their way in the transfer market.
“They’ve spent decent money without blowing other teams out of the water, the wage bill’s always one of the smallest, you’re never going to get the best players.
“It might be a time for actually a Daniel Levy, who I’ve been a supporter of because you look at the work he’s done, but now that work is done in terms of a stadium and a training ground, someone else needs to be in charge of this football club.”
Tottenham fans want to see Daniel Levy replaced
Carragher’s sentiments were echoed by Spurs fans worldwide after the game, who claimed that the former Liverpool defender was “spitting absolutely facts.”
Other fans thanked Carragher for his words while they made it clear that “Levy out should be chanted loudly” moving forward.
