Danny Rohl leads Rangers to embarrassing Ibrox low – BBC Scotland
Rangers endured yet another frustrating afternoon on Sunday as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Falkirk.
The Gers enjoyed the lion’s share of both possession and chances during the clash at Ibrox, but were ultimately unable to make either count, leaving them still sitting fourth in the Premiership table.
Rangers lifted the mood by sacking Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart last week, but a pair of home draws across Europa League and league action has quickly seen frustration set in again.
Danny Rohl has shown plenty of promise since he took on the managerial role at the end of October, but he led his team to a frankly embarrassing first during this weekend’s game.

Rangers break new ground with goalless Falkirk draw
Bojan Miovski started the game up front for Rangers, but his struggles in front of goal continued, as he again failed to find the back of the net.
The North Macedonian has been toothless since his arrival from Spanish side Girona in the summer, and his performance in Sunday’s stalemate summed up where the Gers are at the moment.
They failed to create enough clear-cut goalscoring opportunities to turn the game decisively in their favour, and that has left them distant once again in terms of the title race.
Rangers have still only lost one league game so far this season, but their abundance of frustrating draws has held them back since the start of the campaign.
They had already drawn with Falkirk away from home this season, and their latest share of the points with the sixth-placed side has seen them achieve a feat for the first time in 88 years.
Rangers hadn’t failed to score at home against Falkirk since way back in August 1937, according to BBC Scotland, but that is exactly what Rohl and his men were able to achieve this weekend.
The Gers have a concerning recent record against Falkirk
Rangers’ next job away from the pitch is replacing Thelwell and Stewart, but for Rohl, it is solely about trying to claw the team back into the title race.
However, Sunday’s draw wasn’t conducive to that at all, especially given that Celtic picked up a crucial three points away at Hibernian.
Falkirk have become something of a bogey team for the Govan outfit in recent years, and that was clear to see again in what was just their second ever Premiership meeting this weekend.
Rangers have now won just four of their last 10 games against the newly-promoted side, in a run that stretches back to November 2014.
John McGlynn’s side have certainly ruffled a few feathers so far in their first top-flight campaign in 15 years, and it would be no surprise to see them continue to make life difficult for Rangers moving forward.
