Danny Rohl makes Rangers resignation decision as Wolfsburg line up appointment
Danny Rohl remains on Wolfsburg’s radar as they hunt for their next manager.
The Rangers boss had been heavily linked with a summer departure after a terrible run at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
However, chairman Andrew Cavenagh has since come out to back Rohl as they look to bounce back for next season.
Nevertheless, there has been another twist, with Waz on 21 May confirming that Wolfsburg are still interested in the Gers boss ahead of a potential appointment.
Rohl has been linked with a move to the German side for weeks, and now, Rangers could be set to lose their manager.

The report states that Wolfsburg have been chasing Rohl for some time, and was high on their managerial shortlist last year.
Now, his name is being discussed again. However, it looks unlikely that he will make the move.

As it stands, Rohl feels very comfortable at Ibrox and is inclined to stay despite the regular inquiries from the Bundesliga.
Therefore, it seems unlikely that Rohl will make the move to Wolfsburg as they look to win their relegation playoff tie to stay in the German top-flight.
Can Rohl turn things around at Rangers?
Former Man United assistant manager exclusively told Football Insider that Rohl could start losing the trust of his players after the fallout between James Tavernier and the manager.
The Ger captain alleged that the manager broke promises about his playing time in his final outing at Ibrox in a message posted to his social media accounts.
Rohl has since claimed that no promises were made and he had to do what was best for the team, but it has done little to stem the frustrations directed at him.
As a result, many of his squad may be having doubts about Rohl, especially when this is combined with their terrible end to the season and their trophyless campaign.
Therefore, the manager could face a big battle to win back the support of not only the fanbase, but also his squad as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.
It remains to be seen if he is able to do this, or if calls for his sacking will continue to get louder at the start of the new season.
