Danso and Timber react to Kudus amid West Ham to Tottenham transfer news
Kevin Danso and Jurrien Timber have each reacted to a new social media post from West Ham star Mohammed Kudus amid rumours of his potential exit from the capital club this summer.
West Ham struggled in the Premier League last season, but Kudus continued to impress in East London despite some inconsistencies throughout the campaign.
The 24-year-old registered five goals and four assists in 35 games in all competitions, which was a lot less than his 14 strikes and nine assists in 45 games in the previous season, and it is that sort of form that has seen him attract transfer interest this summer.
Football Insider revealed last month that Newcastle United were targeting Kudus if they missed out on a deal for Bryan Mbeumo, and with the Brentford winger now on his way to Manchester United, a deal could happen soon.
Kudus is also wanted by Chelsea and Tottenham, as revealed to Football Insider by former scout Mick Brown, so it does look as if the Ghanaian international’s two-year spell at the London Stadium is soon set to come to an end.

Danso and Timber react to Kudus on Instagram as Spurs close in
Former scout Brown revealed to Football Insider on Monday (7 July) that Tottenham have held fresh talks with West Ham about Kudus after their £50million bid for his services was rejected by the Irons.
Both parties are thought to be keen to reach an agreement as Spurs edge closer to approaching with a more suitable fee that could be around the £65m mark.
Kudus has been keeping himself busy with off-field matters, amid those claims, and he took to Instagram on Sunday (6 July) to post a reel of him in his home country giving out new football boots to those less fortunate, captioned: “KudusDREAM.”
His post of goodwill was reacted to by a number of players, with Spurs man Kevin Danso and Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber each leaving a like, while Konstantinos Mavropanos, Emerson Palmieri, Calvin Bassey and Simon Adingra all followed suit, and Hammers teammate Edson Alvarez commented in support, saying: “Keep inspiring brother.”
West Ham should let Kudus leave if Spurs approach with higher bid
Football Insider verdict
It is tough to foresee a season in which things can get much worse for West Ham than they were last time out, as they struggled under Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter and eventually finished in 14th place.
Selling Kudus maybe does not make sense, then, on the face of it, but his drop-off last term was pretty stark compared to the previous campaign, and there is surely a feeling that his heart may not be in it at the London Stadium anymore amid rumours linking him to bigger clubs.
Appearances | Goals | Assists |

Kudus would reportedly prefer a move to Spurs over Chelsea this summer, likely due to a better chance of more game-time under Thomas Frank, and it now seems like it will be a move to North London or nothing after Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that he is “not talking to any other club” right now.
If Spurs do return with another higher bid that matches the West Ham’s valuation of the 24-year-old, then there seems like little reason for the Irons to reject it, as he is clearly already out of the door in his own mind, and they would be able to re-invest the money back into Potter’s squad for next season.
