David Beckham cited as Rangers ready to accept two offers – pundit

Frank McAvennie has praised Michael Beale’s “good management” at Rangers.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker said bringing young players back from loan to sell them is smart business.

On Monday (30 January), Football Insider revealed that the Gers were keen to offload youngsters Kai Kennedy and Josh McPake.

The pair have been deemed surplus to requirements at Ibrox and Rangers are keen to recall them from their loan spells and find them permanent moves.

Kennedy is currently on loan at Falkirk whilst McPake is at Championship leaders Queen’s Park.

McAvennie suggested that if the pair are having successful loan spells they could even return to Ibrox permanently.

I think if there is a player on loan somewhere doing well then they should get them back and sell them,” he told Football Insider.

It makes a lot of sense. They have got to get rid of some players to bring in others. That is just good management and the board would have told him he can’t bring anyone in unless he gets rid of someone.

It makes good sense to bring players back. Sometimes they go on loan and they come back and they are better players and you keep them.

It happened with Beckham, he is the prime example to any kid. David Beckham went on loan and look what happened to him. It gives kids the belief.

Going on loan is not a bad thing. You can go and try and prove yourself. But I think if they bring them back now it is just to sell them. It makes an awful lot of sense.
