David de Gea instantly trolled on social media ahead of West Ham vs Man United
David de Gea was immediately brought back down to Earth when reminiscing about old meetings between West Ham and Man United.
There appears to be a lot riding on the clash on Tuesday, 10 February, with Michael Carrick’s side beating Tottenham 2-0 to make it four consecutive wins on the bounce.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, most fans will have heard about the supporter continuously growing his hair until the Red Devils win five Premier League games on the bounce.
Unsurprisingly, the Hammers are being backed to pull something out of the bag, and even more importantly, Nuno Espirito Santo could relieve some of the pressure on his shoulders.

West Ham and Man United ready to clash at the London Stadium
Carrick appears to have sparked something in the players that Ruben Amorim just couldn’t muster, with calls now being made for Man United to appoint him as the permanent manager.
There is a long time between now and the end of the season, but with United moving up to fourth in the Premier League table, much weirder things have happened than an in-form manager keeping his job.
The former Middlesbrough boss could take another step closer to that, and one footballer who knows the highs and lows of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world is De Gea.
Now 35 years of age and playing for Fiorentina, the Spaniard featured against West Ham 24 times, winning 12, drawing eight, and losing four, with seven clean sheets.
David de Gea howler highlighted on social media
Many will remember the goalkeeper for his penalty save against Mark Noble, which United posted about before Tuesday’s clash, and De Gea responded cheekily with a smirking emoji.
However, just hours after, the shot-stopper was reminded of a huge mistake from his former years, allowing a long-range strike from Said Benrahma to wiggle past him.
While he will be remembered as one of the Premier League’s greatest ever goalkeepers, he really did come with some calamitous errors, and he has been trolled with a key one just before the game.
It will be interesting to see who gets the last laugh in East London.
