David Moyes cited after Rangers source’s manager reveal – Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Giovanni van Bronckhorst deserves more time at Rangers because he guided them to the Europa League final last season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker compared Van Bronckhorst’s situation to David Moyes‘ at West Ham and insisted both have enough “credit in the bank”.
Rangers are now nine points behind league leaders Celtic after just 15 games and their Champions League group stage campaign was the worst in the competition’s history.

Sources told Football Insider on Monday (14 November) that the club are increasingly likely to sack Van Bronckhorst.
The Rangers board have been locked in discussion over the Dutchman’s future after their 1-1 draw with St Mirren on Saturday (12 November).
“I have no problem with them losing every game in their Champions League group because it was probably the toughest group I’ve ever seen,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“But if that happens your league form has got to be on point, that’s your bread and butter.
“No, you can’t be nine points behind Celtic already, it’s not good enough.
“As much as he’s got credit in the bank from last season, if results don’t improve soon then they will sack him. I think he’s borderline now.

“You can’t say David Moyes stays and say Van Bronckhorst goes. Both of them were outstanding in Europe. Maybe they should be allowed a season that isn’t as good.
“There are high demands in Scotland though. I wouldn’t sack him yet but he needs to show that his players are still working for him.”
