David Prutton predicts Leeds clash v Bristol City

By Danny Wright

David Prutton believes that Leeds United’s bad run of form will continue on Saturday when they face Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

The Sky Sports pundit has predicted that Lee Johnson’s side will earn a 2-1 win over the Yorkshire giants, handing them their fourth defeat in a row.

Leeds have been in poor shape over the last month, losing to the likes of Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday and most recently Reading, seeing themselves slip from the top of the Championship table down to sixth.

Bristol City’s recent spell of form is the polar opposite to the Whites as they see themselves fourth in the league table having not lost since the opening day of the season.

Ex-Leeds midfielder Prutton believes that their impressive spell of results will only continue this weekend and reckons it was a no-brainer to go for a home win.

“It’s all going wrong for Leeds. For a brief period they were flying high and it looked like they could storm the league and run away with it, but they’ve lost their last three on the spin and don’t really look like scoring,” he said on the Sky Sports website.

“Bristol City, meanwhile, are flying high and were only denied victory last week by a fantastic defensive display by Burton. I’ve got to go for a home win here, though.”

Leeds have history on their side when going into their clash with City this weekend, having lost just one of the last 10 meetings between the two sides, winning eight of those fixtures.

The Whites’ trip to Ashton Gate last season saw them suffer their first loss against Bristol City since the 1990s when Marlon Pack scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win for the Robins.
