Declan Rice and Eberechi Eze respond to Alexander-Arnold’s passionate Real Madrid message

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid has been one of the biggest talking points in football after his free transfer from Liverpool.

Last night (22 June), he picked up his first win with Los Blancos as they defeated Mexican outfit Pachuca 3-1 in the Club World Cup.

Goals from Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler and Federico Valverde sealed their first win at the competition as they moved to the top of Group H after two games played.

Liverpool fans were stunned watching Alexander-Arnold during Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal after a frustrating display saw him struggle defensively.

However, after claiming a victory for the first time in white, a number of his teammates past and present, including Bellingham, have joined the adulation for his display.

Jude Bellingham responds to Alexander-Arnold’s Real Madrid post

Bellingham was the man who stole the headlines with his goal against Pachuca, but Alexander-Arnold’s performance once again attracted plenty of interest.

The right-back played 78 minutes before being replaced by Antonio Rudiger as Xabi Alonso continues to show willingness to rotate and keep his squad fresh.

In that time, he turned in a solid display, won two of his three ground duels, completed 92 per cent of his passes and was successful in 100 per cent of his dribbles.

Taking to social media after the game, the England international shared an Instagram post captioned: “First win in white! Hala Madrid”, prompting responses from teammates.

Bellingham wrote in reply “cook”, while Jordan Henderson sent applause and heart emojis – the post was also liked by England teammates Declan Rice and Eberechi Eze.

Jordan Henderson sends message amid Sunderland links

Henderson has not been shy about sending support for Alexander-Arnold since his move to Madrid, as he previously liked the full-back’s post ahead of his debut.

The England midfielder has been subject to his own transfer speculation this summer amid links with a stunning return to Sunderland.

Following their promotion to the Premier League, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Henderson would transform Sunderland’s dressing room.

This came after Football Insider revealed that Sunderland had plotted a move to sign Henderson in the January transfer window, but were unable to pull it off.
