Declan Rice: Club tipped to submit ‘£110m’ bid for West Ham star after manager reveal – pundit

Alan Hutton has suggested a club could offer West Ham £100million-plus for Declan Rice this summer.

The former Scotland international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the “unbelievable” 23-year-old is worth an eight-figure fee.

As quoted by Sky Sports on Tuesday (8 February), David Moyes revealed he believes Rice is worth in excess of £100million and is someone the club “value greatly”.

The midfielder still has two years left on his contract at the London Stadium.

West Ham have the option to extend his terms by a further year.

Hutton admitted while the £100million valuation is “a lot of money”, he believes a team could offer that this summer.

“That’s a lot of money, a lot of money,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.

“As much as I rate him, I think he’s an unbelievable, talented player, £100million is, of course, a lot of money.

“But you’re only worth what somebody is willing to pay for you. So that’s the bottom line.

“If somebody comes in with £100million or £110million, and I think they will, it’s up to West Ham to accept or decline it.

“He probably is worth it. He’s really developing into a top, top player and a main player for West Ham.

“He’s growing into that captaincy, taking it on board and moving with it.”

Rice has played 175 times for the Irons since breaking through the youth ranks.

He has also picked up 27 caps for England.
