Declan Rice to Man City: Agbonlahor verdict on £150m West Ham update
Man City will not launch a move for Declan Rice this summer, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Man City would only sign a backup to Rodri and Rice will not want to sit on the bench.
The Daily Mail reported today (23 March) West Ham have set a £150million asking price for the 23-year-old and Man United are the leading the race for his signature.

Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday (22 March) their local rivals City are in the market for a new midfielder with Fenandinho’s future undecided with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Asked whether that could prompt Pep Guardiola to make a move for Rice, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I don’t think they will, to be honest.
“They’ve already got Rodri in that position. If they are going to bring somebody in they are not going to bring someone in to sit on the bench.
“Declan Rice isn’t a player that’s going to sit on the bench. He’s going to be a starter every game.
“I don’t think they will sign Declan Rice because they have Rodri. They will look at someone to be second-choice to Rodri.
“I don’t see Declan Rice there, no I don’t.”

Rice has just over two years left on his West Ham contract but the club have the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
The England star is a key player for David Moyes and has only missed six games across all competitions this term.
